The Simple Truth

We don't collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data.

What We Don't Do

✅ No voice recording storage: Your voice recordings are processed in real-time and immediately discarded. Nothing is saved to disk.
✅ No data transmission: All speech recognition happens locally on your Mac. Your voice never leaves your device.
✅ No user accounts: TalknPaste doesn't require registration, login, or any personal information.
✅ No usage tracking: We don't track how you use the app, what you say, or when you use it.
✅ No analytics: We don't use any third-party analytics services or tracking tools.
✅ No internet requirement: TalknPaste works completely offline. No network connection is needed for transcription.

How TalknPaste Works

TalknPaste uses advanced AI models that run entirely on your Mac to convert speech to text. Here's what happens when you use the app:

You click to start recording
Your Mac's microphone captures audio
The AI model processes the audio locally
Text is generated and copied to your clipboard
The audio data is immediately discarded

At no point in this process is any data stored, transmitted, or shared.

Permissions We Request

TalknPaste only requests the permissions necessary to function:

🎤 Microphone Access: Required to capture your voice for transcription. Audio is processed in real-time and never stored.
⌨️ Accessibility Permissions: Needed to copy transcribed text to your clipboard automatically.

Children's Privacy

TalknPaste is safe for users of all ages. Since we don't collect any personal information, there are no special considerations for children's privacy. Parents can be confident that TalknPaste doesn't collect, store, or share any information about their children.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our approach to privacy (which we don't expect to), we will update this policy and notify users through the app. The current version will always be available on our support website.
